New York, August 6-13, 2012: "Sex"

                      Critique-

Whats communicated about the people in the magazine cover is sex, its communicated by their lips almost kissing or about to kiss and the coverline under and in the bottom of "sex" by saying a way through A romp Through the Urban Libida. The lighting was really good and just the way the made it look just their lips close up the new york title was good and just the bar code in the left third the exposure and the composition the angle is a little bit from the bottom up.

Masthead (Logo)- its the name of the magazine in a specific typeface the masthead is usually used on the contents page inside as well as the front cover and as  a logo for advertising and branding purposes

Dateline- Month and year the of publication. Note that a monthly magazine usually hit the news-stand the month before the cover date.

Main Image- the image of the model

Model Credit- It is unusual for such a credit to appear on a magazine front cover but is done on fashion magazine. The photographer and model credit is usually on the contents page.

Coverlines- cover lines which are distributed around the main image without detracting from it too much

Main cover line- this is very large taking up almost a quarter of the magazine cover and comes in 3 layers each with a different color

Left third- the left third of the magazine cover is vital for sales in shops where the magazine is not shown full frontage the title must be easily recognizable in a display

Bar Code- Standard bar code used by retailers

Selling line- Short sharp description of the titles main marketing point

1. What was the best ISO setting to use for your portraits? umm I think the best ISO setting for the portraits is a 100

2. What was the next best photo? the one with the ISO of 800

3. Where you able to create equivalent exposures to your best photo by changing the aperture and shutter speed? yes I have. 

4. What did you learn from this activity that you will apply to your real portrait shoot? having a ISO of 100 and trying to match the shutter speed and aperture the same or in the middle. And keep in mind the lighting and where I'm at in the place of shooting.

1. What part of the body should we closely relate aperture? Our eyes

2. Finish this sentence- the smaller the aperture the larger the F-number the higher the aperture the smaller the F- number.

3. In your own words tell me how aperture impacts Depth of Field. 

A large f-number such as f/32, (which means a smaller aperture) will bring all foreground and background objects in focus, while a small f-number such as f/1.4 will isolate the foreground from the background by making the foreground objects sharp and the background blurry.

Questions-

1. What are the advantages of shooting with a higher ISO setting at a sporting event like a night football game? the advantages of shooting with a ISO setting at a sporting event would be being too dark

2. What suggestions did the author make about using a low ISO? when theres too much light you should always use the lowest ISO 

3. What suggestions did the author make about using a high ISO? when theres not enough light. When you want to freeze motion.

Practice -F4- 1/125 the background is very blurry and all you can see is the couple is clear 

-F5.6- 1/60 The background is blurry and the couple is clear

-F8- 1/60 The background is blurry and the couple is kinda blurry and a little dim but its good it'd no too noticeable.

-F11-1/60 The background is kinda clear but little dark couple clear but a little dark

-F16-1/30 The background kinda clear couple kinda dark and little blurry

-F22-1/15 The background is clear but the couple is blurry

The lowest shutter speed a photographer can hand hold without using a tripod is 1/4 of a second.. I think

On the first quiz with was depth of field i did really good got 24/25 and on the second one i got all of them right! yayy for meee!

And yes I kinda understand shutter speed, aperture and ISO better

1.  Curtis Reagan steals a kiss form Louis Lane on Friday in Time Square in New York City. Reagan snatched a kiss joyfully from Lane after the announcement that the allies had defeated the Nazi ending World War II.

2. A bullet strikes Donald Smith,  on a Tuesday in Colorado at the wild west ranch. For the reason of him being in war Smith falls rapidly by the bullet of the other opponents.

 

3.  Marylin Monroe dances happily Friday night at the Black and White ball. For the reason being she likes to dance sensually.

4. Beeta Torres helps the children exit the school a Monday morning. Outside Langford Elementary for the cause of the surprisingly cafeteria fire shocking they were all they calmly and safe exited the building. 

 

5. Samantha Rodriguez yells to the whole crowd for help one  Sunday afternoon at the Lincoln park in London. Man Chistopher Walker lies on the sidewalk looking passed out by some troopers that knocked him out for the reason being of him looking colored.
