Elements of Art and Principles of Design

Line : Lines are marks made by a pointed tool: brush, pencil, pen, etc. Lines can vary in width, direction, curvature, length, or color.
I chose this painting because the cow showed good example of lines.

I choose this photograph because it has lines everywhere.


Shape: Shapes are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.
I choose this painting because it had shapes in there lie the circle as the sun.
I choose this photography because it has a shape of a heart in the apple.

Color: Shows primary colors secondary colors and tertiary. They also show the relationship between contemporary colors.
I chose this painting because it had a lot of color to it pretty colorful.
I choose this photography because its sooo colorful and glittery.

Value (Tone): refers to dark and light.
I chose this painting because its dark in the background and light in the front.
I chose this photography because its an example of value (tone)

Form: form describes objects that are 3 dimensional.
I choose this drawing because its 3-D you can see the bottom of the rocks and stuff.
I chose this photography because its a cube its 3-D 

Texture- can be rough bumpy slick scratchy smooth silky etc.
I chose this painting because the grass looked scratchy and itchy by the lines they made it.
I choose this photograph because the 2 ice creams looked silky and smooth.

Space: refers to distances or areas between or within areas.
I chose this painting because theres a lot of space around the man.
I chose this photography because it shows the whole sky with is a lot of space.


Balance: comfortable or pleasing arrangement. Theres symmetrical and asymmetrical 
I chose this painting because some parts it looks like symmetrical like on the top of the house and everything looks straight forward and the same except the man and the women 
I chose this photography because it looks like the same thing if you cut in half.

Contrast: created by using elements that conflict with one another using light dark values.
I chose this painting because its like black and white.
I chose this painting because its black and white.

Emphasis: In the focal area of artwork gives its important the eye of the viewer will focus on the areas of emphasis or center of interest.
I chose this painting because it shows emphasis and the color stands out.
I chose this photograph because it focuses on the flower.

Movement: lines edges shapes and colors often leading to the focal area movement is visual flow through the composition. 
I chose this painting because it shows the movement of people talking to themselves.
I chose this picture for movement because it shows the picture is moving.

Pattern: Patterns are made in art when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again. Patterns uses the elements of art in planned or random repetitions to enhance surfaces
I chose this painitng for pattern because the cans are repeated over and over again.
I chose this photograph because it shows the pattern of the green flower.

Rhythm: Repetiton of shapes lines and form. Rhythm is a movement in which some elements recurs regularly. Like a dance.
I chose this painting for Rhythm because it shows the same form and lines and you can see the way they move kinda.
I chose this picture for rhythm because it has the same lines and the pencils are put in a way where it looks like its moving.

Unity: All elements in an artwork are in harmony unity brings together a composition with similar units.
I chose this painting because the unity for it would be the same units like in the blanket it has the same lines and stuff which brings the composition together.
I chose this picture because it shows the same figures.

The reason i chose this picture was because for balance was because the way the fences are located in the middle and it looks like its balanced if their falling.

Camera Parts

Apeture- an opening hole or gap.
Shutter- a mechanical device on a camera that opens and closes to control the time of a photographic exposure.
Exposure- the act of exposing film to light
Deph of field- the range of distance in front of and behind an object.
F-stop- a camera lens aperture setting that a corresponds to an f number.
Focal length - a measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light.
        Buttons.
1. Shutter button- opens and closes
2.Flash button- does the flash light
3. Model dial- changing model you want
4.Power switch- turn camera on and off
5.Hotter Shoe- where you can put in the battery?

Camera History and Camera Parts

1. "Camera oscura" the hole acted like a lens focusing and projecting light onto the wall of the dark chamber.
2. Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the understanding of optics and the process of making high quality glass lenses.
3.  Soon there were small Joseph Nicéphore added the final touch. He added "film". a glass lens, dark box and film.
4. The light passes through the lens into the camera and exposes the film.

My best and worst photos

 This is my best photo because it came out pretty good better than my other ones. She looked right at the camera and she looked pretty. I like this this photo.
This is my worst photo because I took it while she was moving and it was just not a good shot. She was not ready.
